DU - Please read this regarding Carl Sheeler (D - RI)

As Carl's de facto Net campaign manager, I have a favor to ask DU:
DUers,

On this page, Carl Sheeler has announced his candidacy for US Senate, and plans to replace Lincoln Chaffee as a Democratic Senator from Rhode Island.

Please take the time to read his introduction post. Then, if you agree with his position, I have a favor to ask.

Can we get his original post spread across the blogosphere this weekend?

He and I are chatting and he keeps running into the delays that we all experience when we first sign up to post to a blog (the screening process).

If some people could get this moved to Kos, others to Arianna, and others to Atrios etc. we can get big Mo running in Carl's favor. As the inaugural DU Senate Candidate it's the least we can do.

In the short time I have known Carl, one thing has struck me...he has all of the qualities we liked about People Powered Howard, and lacks the DLC baggage. In other words, the perfect DU candidate.

Let's band together now so he will be positioned for the primaries. We only need 5 Senate seats to flip. This is one we can actually effect. It is time for the Bushies to feel our wrath directly.

It may also help to sift through this Google search for 'forums, Rhode Island and post to as many as you can custom tailor a message for. Post a general introduction to your campaign on the newspaper, TV, radio, and political forums, tailored posts for your platform on Medicare and Health Reform on forums for the aging and health related issues, Energy and Environmental messages on those type boards, etc.
