Motivation for '06 Elections, '08 concerns

IF we are not successful in creating a majority in Congress this year, IMO Hillary's '08 run will position her to undecideds as a much-needed balance of power. She'll position herself to Democrats as a "moderate in sheep's clothing" so to speak. Classic triangulation. Her running mate will be a nod to us here (maybe even Dean). Quite frankly, while it may be a winning strategy I don't know that I'm comfortable with that possibility. So, I think the conversations about strong primaries and even stronger campaigns during this years election cycle are right on the money.

1. Work towards a majority, but I don't believe that it's going to

happen. I think it's going to take us a lot longer to lift ourselves out of this morass.

4. Absolutely, but the idea is not to expect major victories soon...

I tend to agree with Mike Malloy that a realistic goal is to have something resembling a real democracy for our kids or grandkids.
