5. I'm actually in favor of the lawsuit

but for purely selfish reasons. I was told the lawsuit would push back the deadline needed to register as a candidate for a state office. If the lawsuit pushes back the deadline to register as a candidate, I will have the minimum 90 days needed to be considered a member of the Democratic Party, and can therefore challenge the right wing asshole who is the state rep for my district (no democrat has challenged the son of a bitch for a while).

I'm not in favor of the republicans winning, just it delaying the deadline for registration into a party.

8. the assault on democracy

The assault that is currently being launched on democracy is outrageous. Caucuses wouldn't be THAT bad if people working on the appointed day could vote via absentee ballot.

However, is there any doubt that John Edwards will get MOST of North Carolina's delegates regardless of the method used?????

11. At some point, one candidate will have it sewn up mathematically.

And that will almost certainly happen before April 19th or May 4th. This races don't go down to the convention anymore; the party machine sees to that, and they REALLY are, this time!

If it comes down to Edwards and Kerry, which I think it will, one of the two will have more than 50% by early March. The only way to prevent that is to keep at least three viable candidates in the race. I don't see that happening.
