The Republican Senator's Christmas Gift to America!
The Republican Senator's Christmas Gift!

Hi, G. Edward Cook "The Wild Card Candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania" here
to make sure all of you know about the Republican's Christmas Gift to America. Late in
2005 fifty one Republican Senators voted against raising the minimum wage.

They say it will Cost America Jobs.
I say : "What kind of jobs? Minimum wage $5.15 per hour jobs with no benefits?"

I would like to say to these companies that pay minimum wage: "Where do you think you
are? This isn't China, this isn't Indonesia, this isn't some third world country. This
is a first world country. This is The United States of America and if you can't pay
first world wages in a first world country,
GET THE HELL OUT OF AMERICA. WE DON'T NEED YOU HERE ".

And I would like to say to the Republican Senators:
"Why do you Hate the American Workers? Why do you Hate America?"
"Why don't you follow the Minimum Wage Companies you support and LEAVE
AMERICA."

I must ask: "Why are these people US Senators?"

Please join me and together we can Take Back America.

Sincerely,
G. Edward Cook

1. With our education system...

we'd be lucky to turn out students who are worth $5.15 an hour.

Minimum wage isn't an issue when you have an education.

25-30%?

3. We're going through that now...
our 17 year is looking at going to college. The best we can hope for is 2 years of community college and even that's going to be about $5k a year. I have 2 more after that. Luckily Congress is seeing to it that this story is being repeated millions of times over all throughout America. With a government like this, who needs enemies.

4. I hear ya
I have a 13 and 15 year old. I can't afford to send them to college and save for my retirement at the same time. Retirement - what a fucking joke - I'll probably need to work until the day I die. Or until I lose my job and end up on skid row.

College for middle Americans is another casualty of the Bush administration.

I hear dying from starvation isn't all that bad and it only takes about a week.

On edit:
Sorry for the morgue humor, the sad reality is that is probably in the future for many in this country. But hey, at least the rich will have their cake.
