Why a 9:00PM start time for the speech?
Why not earlier? Is it to accomodate the West coast...or because alot of us will be getting kids to bed at that time?

6. rofl
  Good one.

I wish.

No, it will be about democracy on the march in Iraq. The lessons of 9/11 and how wire taps without warrants is a good thing and we should be glad we have such a take charge pres who is doing EVERYTHING in his power to protect us 'murcans from the evil doer terrists. Now move along, nothing more to see. Merry Christmas. Shop shop shop.

2. Networks probably wouldn't give him an earlier slot and no one...
out here (West Coast) will watch his sorry ass so it does't matter.

10. Imagine the comparison - President Bartlett right before the
spoiled frat boy comes on to speak. Eloquence vs idiocy. The American people will have the opportunity to see how a smart, genuine president would act compare to the a$$wipe that really occupies 1600 Penn. Ave. thanks to a coup d'etat by the Supreme Court.

My HOLIDAY wish for Chimpy is a lump of coal, a bundle of switches and oozing, festering anal boils. He has certainly earned them this year.

Are we getting a game of Bushism Bingo during his "speech" or is it just to easy of a game to play with this one trick pony? Everyone is a winner in the first sentence.

7. isn't it usually at 9:00?
Edited on Sun Dec-18-05 02:19 PM by orangepeel68
That's 6:00 on the West Coast. Can't really be any earlier and still expect anyone to watch.

on edit: if they didn't want people to watch, they wouldn't have made the networks cover it. He would have spoken to a friendly audience and let the networks show a few sound bites (again).

22. I think * was on at 8:00pm
before and it was the lowest ratings of the century so maybe they're hoping 9:00pm will show more viewers.

I know one show they're messing with is "Desperate Housewives"..darn it..it's a rerun.

9. Stupid timing by the White House
Tom Brokaw's special on the cost of the war airs at 8:00. It follows a group of friends who all went to Iraq. Three were seriously injured and one died.

The timing of the pro-war speech shows how inept this white house is.

But I guess that would make the natives WAY to restless to cut off part of the programming. He is a waste of air on the planet and airwaves.

15. Because when he does his usual lousy, crappy job,
everyone in the administration and media can blame it on the fact that it is 9 p.m. and past his bedtime! He's so tired because of all the hard work he's been doing. And all the rest of the usual bull-sh*t!!

17. drinking game?
Every time he says "on the march" take a drink.

Every time he says "freedom" kiss your SO

Every time he says "as long as I am president" do a jig

If he says "doin' a good job" open a Christmas present

And if he says "hard work" then down the bottle

Variations?

30. It's best to not show a lying coward in prime children's watching time
I think it was a good move. I mean, do we want kids to have Chimpy setting an example? A lying coward who can't admit he made a mistake and who laughs when talking about 30,000 dead Iraqis?

There should be a warning before Bush comes on:

WARNING:
What you are about to watch has nothing to do with the truth, reality or what is good for America and the World. The opinion and statements about to be presented are the opinion of the President alone along with a couple shills that believe his lies.
