In the beginnings of a civil war, with American troops quagged down around Baghdad, and tens of thousands civilians killed - many of those women and children - who can argue that it was worse under Saddam Hussein? It's too bad there were no IEDs or carbombs in Iraq when Saddam was passing by? There must have been no access to them until the Americans arrived? Or else, no one wanted to kill Saddam? They were too fearful?

Yes, their economy is doing better somewhat but why shouldn't it be doing better? We have spent over $200 billion dollars in their country. Who is paying their well-trained troops? Who is buying all those satelite dishes that the conservatives brag about? I will tell you who is buying the satelite dishes and who is paying for those well-trained Iraqi troops - you are.

iraqi's are waiting 7-8 hours to get gas for their cars. crime is up. women are afraid to go out at night. one woman lost her cousin to a suicide bomber and at the end she said that she wanted america to leave and let them take care of their own problems. and she did refer to our presence as an "occupation".
