If this is going to be the Strategy of the DNC
We are in trouble. Shame on You billboards from the DNC.
https://www.democrats.org/page/contribute/schmidtbillbo...
We have got to start thinking in a more progressive manner. Bill Clinton stated that as long as we play the repugs game, they will continue in the same format. the bill board idea of shame is just a waste of money time and energy.
Tom McMahon, needs to go back to the drawing board.

1. How is this playing the Republicans' game?
(I'm pretty sure Bill Clinton didn't say "repugs.")

It's publicity. It's not a strategy for winning a particular election.

4. I disagree with you. I like the idea.
Billboards aren't very expensive compared to TV ads etc, and they get a lot of attention. I like the idea of keeping Schmidt's disgusting performance in the spotlight of those who voted for her!

Why do you think this is a Pub tactic? All the DNC is doing is focusing on the truth! The Pubs make up lies and spread them around.

7. Bill boards are a good idea
but if we are going to continue this game of smearing, its not going to get us anyplace. It makes us no better than them. I would rather see a bill board of Murtha and all of his accomplishments, or a candidate to run against Schmidt. Or democratic values.

13. That can come leter. Schmidt just won an election and won't
be running again for a while. I like the idea of the Dems pushing the "culture of corruption" thing, and every time we can point out the sick values of the Pubs, the better we'll be.

15. Remember the Democratic Convention? How the DNC said, "No Bush
bashing!" What a positive 4 days it was. No bounce for Kerry.

Then the GOP convention ripped us up one side and down the other. Relentlessly negative. They got a bounce.

Who said that going negative doesn't work?

20. Put a wad of $100 bills
under a big box, held up by a stick, to which is attached a string.

Put the box near his office and hide behind a plant holding the other end of the string.

When he gets under the box to get the money, pull the string and the box will trap him.

Then you can close the box and ship him to a NON-GREEN ZONE part of Iraq. If he comes back in one piece, he will be a changed man and someone we may be able to tolerate.

(caution: you may catch other congresscritters with this trap. this may have to be repeated several times before you actually get JoeMentum, but you can bet when he sees it, he'll go for it)

24. I do see your point, bigbrother5,
but the billboard gives Schmidt BAD publicity. Also, it does more than swat her, tear off her wings, and throw her out as an example to others of her kind who dare call Murtha (and by association, other Democrats who have exit plans for Iraq) cowards, the billboard also drives home the point that the Republicans have no exit plan.

In her arrogance Schmidt said something to the effect that the only lesson she learned was to not wear a red dress when performing her House duties. She deserves the billboard. So do any other clueless attack-dog Republicans who, in attempting to politicize the exit strategy issue, decide to shoot off their mouths and criticize those who do have exit plans.

Billboards and such are eye-catching and are often very effective. Ever visit www.freewayblogger.com ? If not, I encourage you to.

30. the PLAY is to the center!
We have won the presidency only three times the past 10 presidential elections. Overwhelming losses = McGovern, Carter, Mondale, and Dukakis.

Wins = Carter, Clinton, Clinton

Close = Gore, Kerry, Humphrey

The center is the Play. I know many hate to hear that.
