Get registered with Zogby Internet Polls, DUers!

Note: I received this e-mail from Robbyn Tumey, a member of the Arkansas Democratic party. It details an effort on the part of Asa Hutchinson and the Republican party to skew poll results from Zogby. There's no doubt in my mind that if Asa is doing it here in Arkansas then other Rethugs are doing across the country. Please read Robbyn's e-mail to me:

A Call to Action for All Arkansas Democrats

Here is what is up guys.

The Asa Hutchinson Campaign and the Republican Party have recently referenced an Internet poll conducted by Zogby International for the Wall Street Journal. They claim that this poll shows Mr. Hutchinson with a lead over Attorney General Mike Beebe in the Arkansas Governor's race.

A recent poll conducted by the University of Arkansas (the Arkansas Poll), shows Mike Beebe with the lead in the Governor's race.

Mr. Hutchinson's campaign and the Republican Party of Arkansas, through their network of supporters, have an organized effort in place to discredit the proven research methods of the Arkansas Poll and to validate the results of the Zogby Internet poll. Are you surprised?

Would it surprise you that Hutchinson and the Republican Party of Arkansas has taken this network and registered Republicans throughout the state to participate in the Zogby Internet Poll? Would it surprise you that the Zogby Internet Poll referenced by the Hutchinson camp ONLY CALLS THOSE THAT ARE REGISTERED?

Would it surprise you that maybe a few Republicans have registered more than once? Nothing surprises me.

This is a call to action. Hutchinson and the Republican Party are pounding their chests that they lead our man Mike Beebe and justify that by referencing to the Zogby Internet Poll. Time for Zogby to talk to the real Arkansans. Time for every one of us to register and give the Zogby Internet Poll a true picture of Arkansas politics, not the one the Republican Party wants us to hear. Unless we register and participate in force, we let the Hutchinson camp manipulate this poll and give them a vehicle to manipulate the truth; I think we have all had enough of that.

Since I'm not required to register with a party in my state, I selected "Independent" and "moderate" instead of liberal. With hopes that puts me in a more neutral category for their polls.

13. I joined before the '04 elections and answered all phone polls

I wanted to do my bit to make sure support for Kerry/Edwards was being noted so if they tried to pull what they did in 2000 there would be a big difference between the end results and the polls.....

Are they attempting to skew pre-election polls--so that when they fix the election and steal votes--people won't be as skeptical?

Why would someone go to such lengths to fix one poll?

Do Zogby's market research for him if you want, but these polls are useless and it certainly doesn't surprise me that GOP hacks like the WSJ waste money to commission them.
