This newspaper endorsed Bush on '04, primarily because of Iraq and not changing leadership in mid-stream. They're having second thoughts now.

Maybe Americans should wake up and think BEFORE they vote next time.
The Democrats need to run commercials from now until Election day 2006.

question:

Why did the illegal invasion take place in the first place, given that there were no WMD?

Instead, the authors seem to feel the question is the less relevant:


" But he didn't answer the nagging question: How are we measuring success? What goal are U.S. troops now pursuing? "


Sure, these are questions, but they work from the assumption that the so-called 'war' was a) legal, and; b) moral.

Big flaw in the premise, IMO.

3. I'd have to quibble about a few points, but he's right.

At least he understands what a failure this war has been for the US.
2000 dead and not much benefit.
