Somebody needs to tell Rahm Emanuel to quit being a gutless coward...
Honestly. If John Murtha can come out and call for a withdrawal of American troops in Iraq then any Dem should be able to find the nuts to do so. Emanuel, who has no spine whatsoever, said that "Jack Murtha went out and spoke for Jack Murtha..... at the right time, we'll have a position."

Wimpy suck ups like Rahm Emanuel are always looking for the right time to have a position on an issue. They never seem to find that "right time." Not when it matters anyway. That's why Americans think Democrats don't stand for anything. Because our spineless status quo in Washington either spend their time kissing Republican ass or putting up a weak reactionary front to whatever the Republicans are doing. Meanwhile, Americans are dying and getting maimed in Iraq, most of the country has serious misgivings about the war and parts of the Democratic leadership are sitting on their asses watching the world go by.

Rahm Emanuel might figure out the proper strategy right about the time we're inaugarating a new Republican president he and the DLC can kiss ass to in 2008. That's about how effective these guys are at winning elections.

1. Where is district 5 anyway?
Guys like him are the reason Nader drew as much support from the left as he did. :grr:

2. I don't even know
man, that infuriates me though. Especially because Rahm fancies himself as some sort of tough guy too.

4. Maybe they don't think we should immediately pull out troops
If so they are displaying courage by not joining the populist band wagon.

Rahm Emanuel seems to be coming up with a decent coherent platform and actually proactively talking about ideas.

6. He represents the Democrats in the House
If they didn't like the job that he was doing, they could replace him at any time.

8. Come on folks
let's keep our powder dry for the time being. You all realize this man's mentor was Bill Clinton. He(Rahm) knows what he is saying and he will know when is the right time to come out and speak. the same with Hillary. So many folks, especially Democrats are hollering where is Hillary? Well, she is doing the right thing. Keeping your comments close to the chest and she will when the time is right, come out and give one hell of a speech about Iraq etc. etc.... Timing is everything these days leading up to the 06 elections.....

9. Yes, she and all the other centrists will say we invaded the wrong way...
I want to hear them say they were stupid to have even belived all that cooked up and cherry picked intelligence.

DLC types need to sit down and shut up before they destroy this party entirely.
