4. 4 Dems vs 1 dummy
Newsday propaganda poll skewed to help "w" and "w" still looks bad.

5. Well, their options are a good way to split the Democratic vote.
Even Jefferson is supposed to be from what would have been the early Democratic Party (I believe because of the all the Jefferson/Jackson Dinners, etc.) and only one Republican.

8. Kennedy and Roosevelt would be best from that list now!
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 09:04 PM by Dancing_Dave
Of course, Thomas Jefferson was just as good as JFK or FDR, in his own way and time, but that was a totally different situation. JKF and FDR both displayed lots of qualities we badly need right now! :yourock:

I think Clinton would be a kind of shallow and insufficiently informed choice in this context...of course, I'm plenty sympathetic, but he doesn't have everything we need to get out of the present crisis, which is MUCH worse than what Clinton had to deal with from Daddy Bush.

10. I voted for Bill because I think that he was such an intelligent and
fair-minded leader, who was beset from day one by vicious, unsavory Republicans. Bill Clinton showed his love and concern for all people during his presidency and has continued to do so since he left office. His charitable work is second only to Jimmy Carter, if even that. He has taken on major tasks, even whil recuperating from massive heart problems. You go, bill. Even the evil-tongued ones could never shake your optimism and your voice of HOPE.
I am really proud of Thomas Jefferson also. He was the man.

Washington, and that is only a POSSIBLE exception. Nobody did it better. Period. Personality-wise Truman is my favorite.
