24 Hours Of All Heck For The GOP In Congress

1. ANWR scuttled from rec. bill in House.

2. Grassley can't get Snowe on board, so no gap gains tax cut. (Pray for conference...)

3. Entire budget reconcilliation bill is postponed in House. (We're told that the leadership needed a few more hours to get it done, and the Veterans' Day holiday is tomorrow.)

4. Specter asks Alito to explain Vanguard.

Something tells us tomorrow's headlines won't be pretty...

2. #3. I read the budget bill was postponed because the repugs
didn't have the votes, and I'm not sure that's a result of a holiday tomorrow.
