NJ- just got back from Corzines Victory party-1:11 am

East Brunswick, NJ Hilton Hotel.

I was on the road when at 9:03, on the radio, it aws reported Corzine was up by 7%, with 12% of Precints reporting. When I arrived about 9:35 it was a 10% lead, I missed the % of Precincts.

When Doug (Big Head) Forrester showed up on the twin 12 ft TVs, everyone relaized he was at the podium, with his advisors and his wife and family. It aws redialy apparent that he was about to give a concession speach. Without Doug issuing forth a word--the crowd (over 600) went nuts, fists in the air, signs in the air. A roar went thru the room. When that settled, it was hugs, kisses, and handshakes. We have out Victory party, the one we/I didnt have last year. I worked in Broward county Florida for Kerry-

NJ DEM Chair- came up to speak- she was just full of the event- The crowd gave her a roaring welcome. Typically, she thanked everyone and then introduced Governor elect jOn Corzine.

Jon Corzine is a very soft spoken man, but tonite he was full of vinegar. I didnt hear his first 2 comments, the crowd aws too loud, but with each comment he slapped the side of the podium. Then he said "WE put and end to the Bush Rove tactics tonight" As he slapped the side of the podium again.

After Corzines speach, I took pictures as Corzine came down off the stage and shook hands and did the meet & greet. Then Senator Lautenburg came down and did the same. Later on I got top talk briefly with Senator Lautenburg, I asked him if he invented the term :Chickenhawk" He said he did, And I told him that all mu friends-- I was thinking of DU-loved him for that. He mentioned that he served and they didnt, and how this infuriated him. I said: "We're behind you 110%, sir". He smiled and shook my hand.

Then I saw Corzines dughter, who I know from a tea store she runs, she waved, I waved, she pointed at me, I pointed at her, and we both gave each other the thumbs up.

7. Lautenberg is what--- 82 years old

he doesnt not seem like it-- 65 --- sure-- not 82, no way-- after meeting the man-- I hope he runs again-- hes not old, he can do the job.

12. Dick Morris (on Fox) was really vicious to Corzine last night

He called Corzine an "obscenity" and said some things that I don't even want to repeat here - but if they are not true I'd love to see Morris get his ass sued. Corzine has the money to do it too.

The right goes out of its way to try to completely delegitimize our candidates with terms like "obscenity," and howl like wittle babies when we so much as tell the truth about them. No class whatsoever.

Heard an analysis on the radio this a.m. that said voters saw through the slime. Analyst speculated that the slime campaigns were becoming less effective because repukes have done so much of it.
