Will the media ever refer to Bush as "unpopular"?
Or will they continue to pretend that he's widely liked but is "having trouble with poll numbers"?

(Maybe this should have been a poll, but I'm too lazy to redo it.)

1. The little twerp is afraid
to come out and speak to the mom of a dead GI. He won't appear in public except on military bases where captive audiences can be assembled. He is afraid to hold an honest non rehearsed news conference. His poll numbers are in the shitter. And they haven't called him unpopular yet. Chris matthews even speaks of his "sunny nobility". What do you think?

2. I think he'll float through the rest of his term unscathed
I think he'll retire to a luxury apartment in Dallas, having sold the fake farm, and will be given the respect accorded to real ex-presidents. And then he'll be canonized as a great political philosopher and patriot.

But I hope I'm wrong.

6. He could pardon Cheney and then resign
With the understanding that Cheney would then pardon him.

5. I've heard him referred to as "the embattled president"
recently, like in the last week or so.

7. That sounds almost noble
An embattled hero.

Sounds much better than "pile of horse manure in the shape of a man, the stink of which is finally becoming too strong to ignore".

OK, I admit I am cheating a bit here, since you probably meant the US media!

9. Wouldn't referring to him as "unpopular" just create the appearance
of bias? If you want truth in reporting, I suggest "the almost universally despised pretender to the Presidency" instead.

15. Relative to their standing, he may be popular,
does anyone know what the polls say about how the American People view the corpwhorate owned MSM. I am just speculating here but if the polls show 25% approval of the current state of "American Journalism" then 35% probably looks like paradise to them.

17. Bill Schneider will be saying
"President Bush is wildly popular and greatly admired by many people" when w's favorable rating is 15%. Then he will go on to say "AND his poll numbers are still rising" when they go up a tenth of a per cent. Where would w be without the eternal optimists? w owes the "liberal media", BIG TIME!
