I'm wearing my Democratic Party t-shirt right now as a costume
Edited on Mon Oct-31-05 04:49 PM by LittleClarkie
Because I work around freepers. I'm going around and saying "Look out for the scary Liberal. I've come to win the next election. Booo."

Hokey, I know, but I'm enjoying myself.

In a related note, I was privledged to hear two butchers in the meat department of my grocery store. One of them kept saying "If John KERRY was president right now..." in a singsongy voice, to which the other would reply "Oh, shut up!"

I got the feeling the one butcher was rubbing it in about how much better things would be. I flashed my button at him (I still wear it on the inside of my coat) and got a big smile.

1. I hope it's really a Democratic t-shirt
There's no such thing as a Democrat t-shirt unless you're representing a new party.

6. It's not about being pedantic - "Democrat" is a Republican slur
It's used in all their propaganda, with emphasis on the "rat", and it must be ever so sweet to the propagandists to see liberals use the slur on themselves.

7. Got it covered, I'm a Cheesehead. See my other thread re: turning that rat
into our mascot, thereby turning a negative into a positive. Ricky the DemocRAT: tough, street smart, and doesn't take shit from anyone. Certainly nobody could call him an elitist. A real populist, is Ricky.

But yeah, I know it's Democratic. So thanks for the reminder not to use Democrat.

But we really shouldn't let the GOP determine our terminology.
