1. good program
I watched that earlier this week. It was a truly thourough piece of investigative journalism. I couldn't help thinking, however that it might be the last we'll see in this country. Was reading yesterday that the repugs are threatening to de-fund PBS.

2. sure hope not
Perhaps with the changing winds this was a good move by PBS.

What really frightened me was that our soldiers have been known to invade homes with no reasons.... and the hypothermia torture tactic is just plain evil.

I can't for the life of me understand how people can be so cruel as to support these tactics for our safety, when hundreds of prisoners have not even been charged and are rotting away in these prisons.

We don't live in a vacuum and this is really not building international trust in our country.

3. torture
What astonished me was that because the administration could not initially produce desired results with management it had at that time at Gitmo, they brought in someone (Miller, was it?) from a remote post in Asia. When he turned Gitmo around (by implementing torture practices), they transferred him to Abu Ghraib to work his miracles there. And Rumsfeld says that incidents at Abu Ghraib were isolated to the nightshift there! Why was the media not following all of this as it was happening.

4. I know!!!
It was Miller, and it was quite enlightening to see the direct correlation between Gitmo and Abu Ghraib with the appointment of this man.... this is how I see it.. deny and deny again, then information unfavorable is release so they counter with "this is proper procedure anyways" or minimizing somthing.... then they move the goal post some more and some more.... Yep media is complicit for not following the goal post moving and so is Congress for not doing the same...

The coersion and disregard by Sanchez and Miller for Karpinski is allarming too....

5. this is a must see
for every citizen of our country. I watched it the other night and I'm glad I did. *it has led US into a wasteland of ugliness. We have indeed become the ugly that we wanted not to be. Time for revolution?
