Any californians out there know about this?
Perhaps the shrub is not welcome at political events at this juncture?

1. If he cares the slightest bit about bringing back
his political capital, distancing himself fromt he president would be wise.

Schwarzenegger 'snub' (of chimp) prompts criticism

Democratic leaders said the Republican governor should be pressing Bush for more federal funds instead of worrying about the president's fundraising. And Republican analysts also questioned the governor's and the California Republican Party spokeswoman's criticism of Bush coming to Los Angeles Thursday to raise $1 million for the Republican National Committee.
Democrats capitalized on the rift in the Republican Party by staging a press conference Friday morning urging the governor to meet with the president to fulfill his campaign promise to be a "collectinator" of federal dollars for the state.
