They played a clip of an interview with him shilling for the GOP in the 1996 election.

He responded to a caller that it's important to people to have a balanced federal budget, and they don't want deficits. He said with a GOP presidednt and Congress the government would be fiscally responsible, because peope don't a big spending government driving up deficit.

5. Back when he still retained a small capacity to think.
Due to popular demand, cspan could be induced to rerun this show. I'm sure they are very proud of their creation. A few calls could assure this.

8. What really surprised me about that clip
was the way he talked and sounded. He actually completed sentences, didn't go umm umm unn unn, and didn't look like he was reading it. My thought was: That doesn't sound like the bush* I know. His brain really has rotted.

10. We must have been writing our thoughts at the same time.
We both said almost the same thing about bushie's speech pattern in the clip.

13. Have you ever seen his early debates for Governor?
In the excerpts I've seen, he actually seemed to be intellegent and articulate....Wrongheaded, of course, but he presented himself a lot better than now.

9. I saw the clip and I was astonished by two things.
First, by what he said and secondly, by how he said it. He actually spoke several sentences and didn't once say "Uh, uh, ummm," and he didn't keep shaking his face in our faces. Also his "Texas twang, although still there, wasn''t as thick as it is now. What a phoney!!!
