We and the cons are both saying that she's a crony, and she has no experience.

What that seems to mean to me is that she has no understanding of judicial independence, and that, if confirmed, she'll probably be heavily influenced by the decisions of the other judges on the Court, particularly Roberts.

She has no principles of her own, and her hobnobbing suggests that she's going to be a rubber-stamp justice, like Thomas.

Which would be extremely sad, and kind of insulting to our court, actually.

1. Is it possible that Miers
will become the administration's next Brownie? Taking on a post she has never filled and may be incompetent to handle?

3. Brownie was fire-able, Miers won't be if she nominated.

2. Mier is a plant
"if confirmed, she'll probably be heavily influenced by the decisions of the other judges"

Her primary qualification seems to be her loyalty. With no judicial experience, she will certainly be looking for guidance, and I'm sure that will come from POTUS. I wonder what her opinion on Roe is?

Check out RedState:

They are noting that she has given money (horrors!) to Democrats in

the past.

One Repub commented that Bush is a moron.
Another one (previous thread) says that the Bush presidency is over as conservatives know it.
Another: "Bush is a gutless, abortionist liar."

6. We don't know/trust her," the cons don't like her."

She'll be confirmed in a walk.

When the yelling is from both sides of the fence, you've got your "compromise candidate."

Ugh.
