2. Remember one thing about Patrick Leahy. No, TWO things:

Evidently he's one of the White House's pet pin cushions. They REALLY must not like him. After all, he was the other Senator who was sent an anthrax letter (and I have my suspicions about the senders - Daschle was the other one), and he's the guy cheney told to go fuck himself on the Senate floor.

I'm inclined to cut Leahy some slack. SOME. And yes, I wish Jeffords could stay. I actually wish he could relocate and stay. But Bernie Sanders is utterly TERRIFIC. Think I'll set aside some money to donate to his campaign next year, too. His voice needs a more prominent pulpit.
