Dead Scot's mother sets off to join US protest

THE mother of a teenage soldier killed in Iraq set off for a major anti-war protest in Washington yesterday.

Rose Gentle, whose 19-year-old son, Gordon, was killed by a roadside bomb in Basra last year, will take part in a march and rally in the American capital on Saturday.


She will meet Cindy Sheehan, who sparked anti-war vigils across the United States last month when she camped outside George Bush's home in Texas demanding answers over her eldest son's death in action near Baghdad in 2004.

Mrs Gentle, 41, from Glasgow, said the anti-war movement was gathering momentum across the Atlantic and the demonstration would be "huge"..... more at link:

1. I'm so grateful this Scots woman

has decided to join the US anti-War On Iraq demonstrations. I went to a concert in Nova Scotia on Sept 10th with "The Proclaimers" who are from Scotland and anti-war and Pro Democracy..they were Awesome!

They have a song on their new cd called dyi(Do It Yourself)that you would love.
