Why did Donald Rumsfeld say we have "too many" troops?
Where are all these troops Mr. Rumsfeld speaks of?

<<Rumsfeld says we have too many troops!

While speaking to Sean Hannity, Donald Rumsfeld was discussing troop levels in response to the criticism that we are thin on troops and National Guard that could have help with Katrina because of the war in Iraq. He says that we actually have too many troops in certain areas...

Rumsfeld: We do not have a shortage of capability. Today there are hundreds of thousands of guard and reserve people who are still available and aren't being used in this. Indeed, there is some areas where we today very well have excess capacity and we may have to make adjustments in that as we go forward..." >>

3. we have too many troops
If this is true...it's HIS JOB to put them where they need to be, instead of where there are 'too many'!

Hey, Rumsfeld! Do your f*ing job!

Oh, right, you're in the Bush Administration...no need to do your job to collect your paycheck.

6. It sounds to me as though he is talking about nationalizing all
the NG in the country. If Alabama has too many NG and New York doesn't have enough, the only way to "fix" that is by sending Alabama NG to NY. The only way he can do that is to make the NG truly "National". Actually, this does seem the next logical move in the suppression of the populace - turn all the NG in this country into "foreign" occupiers...

4. well, at least they aren't 'draftees' ...
since we all know what Rummie thinks of those soldiers.

"US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld alleged that Vietnam War draftees "added no value, no advantage, really, to the United States armed services ...."

8. Don RumsFailed is a liar.
RumsFool knows that the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are a disaster. We've spent Billions and we're nowhere near our goal, whatever that may have been.

Notice, right after the hurricane struck, RumsFathead quickly spoke up, "We can handle some wars and a catastrophe here at home!!!"

He thinks this will dissuade any would-be attackers, who might strike when the chips are down.....when our pants are down, so to speak.

He thinks if the "enemy" believes we have millions of troops out there, they won't dare attack us.

God almighty what they have done to this country.
