Anderson lets her clarify that came from someone on the internet.

8. That's a message that will resonate.
How come no politicians ever told us we were building 14 Sacramentos in Iraq and we're never going to leave them?

15. Kerry did talk about the bases being built - media didn't discuss it.
He said it again in an op ed piece last June the day of Bush's Iraq speech.

He specifically said that the bases being built are signalling to the Iraqis that we intend to stay - They know better than to believe Bush's claims otherwise.

14. Well said!
When you tell the truth, the story remains the same, doesn't it! Never thought of it that way, but perhaps that is a big part of her charisma when she speaks.

It hit me when I realized what a lousy liar I was. Mom always caught me!

24. GOPER'S and Freeptile's mothers...
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 07:47 PM by Hubert Flottz
"DON'T CARE"...about teaching their kids right from wrong, they just run and bail them out when they get in trouble for the bad things they do! An example would be how W's mom and dad bailed W out of going to Nam and got him into the TANG! Bush couldn't even face the music in the guard and went AWOL! The coward has been running all his life, but Cindy has him backed into a corner! He's still peddling ass on his wimp bike to get away though!

A good mother or father has to be smarter than the child, to raise a child up to be a decent human being and the parents have to "CARE"!

This message has been brought to you by, 'Focus On The Freeper's Family'!

25. Me too!
It hit me when I realized what a lousy liar I was.

But it was usually my stepfather who hit me when he realized what a liar I was, lousy or otherwise... ;)

Anyway, I've had a profound reverence for the truth ever since!

13. How does looking at a picture of your dead son make you feel?
The greiving mother he interviewed whose name I did not catch, was unable to whip up any venom for Cindy. She basically empathized with her and said don't be angry at Bush.

The classic TV Interviewer question.. check out the tone of Anderson Cooper's question: "Look at that button of your son in uniform, and how does it make you feel?"

Ugh. Anything good that comes from CNN has to be balanced with stuff like this.

Thanks for the heads up, Cindy Sheehan was great, and on message.

18. Actually, the other mother, whose
name I also missed, looked like she was in a state of shock. To an extent, I think that Cooper did a pretty decent thing by shifting, simply because he didn't really have anywhere to go. To me, the contrast between the two women was unbelievable: one whose has taken her grief and channelled it into an action; one who, equally grief stricken and in pain, can't conceive of her son's death being, in a sense, meaningless. As a parent, I feel heartbroken for both of them, but Ms. Sheehan is giving meaning to her son's death in the most profound way.

The "have-mores" would lose faith in him if he told the truth! and by now he peobably hasn't the capacity to comprehend what in the hell he is trying to accomplish? oh yeah, the oil and democray.
