John Kerry: Protect the Bills of Rights and Freedom of the Press

Below is a statement by Senator John Kerry on the Free Flow of Information Act, also known as the Media Shield Act (S. 340). John Kerry is a co-sponsor of the legislation.

“Congress should not wait any longer to aggressively ensure the freedom of the press in America. The Free Flow of Information Act, or Media Shield Act, is a common-sense solution to a complex issue. It makes clear that journalists will never have to reveal a confidential source, but requires they testify if they have information essential to solving a crime. This bill deserves support and deserves to be brought up for a vote in Congress. At a time our troops are fighting for freedom overseas, it’s disappointing that the president is opposing this bill at home. It’s the least we can do to guarantee basic freedoms our Founding Fathers intended.”

Energy Secretary Tries to Get Kerry-Reed Amendment Stripped from Energy Bill; Bipartisan Group of Senators Fights Back

WASHINGTON — Senator John Kerry, Ranking Member of the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, today fought back against the Administration’s latest attempt to eliminate an amendment in the Energy Policy Act that will help small businesses and farmers hurt by record fuel prices.

“Energy costs are through the roof, and in the entire 1,300 pages of the energy bill, this is the only immediate relief from record-high gas prices for farmers, truckers and small businesses. Amazingly, the administration is trying to gut this relief from high energy costs,” Kerry said.

5. Laura killed her boyfriend with her car as a teen, then married

our dumb ass "President" and they begat the twins. Useless is my term for two college educated women who do nothing and is an opinion.

6. Boyfriend killer = Laura Welch (pre-Bush)

"Laura Welch was driving her Chevrolet sedan on a clear night shortly after 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, 1963, when she drove into an intersection and struck a Corvair sedan driven by 17-year-old Michael Douglas.

Although previous news accounts have reported Douglas was thrown from the car and broke his neck, those details were not in the report.

The speed of Laura Bush's car was illegible on the report. The speed limit for the road was 55.

Laura Bush and her passenger, Judy Dykes, also 17, were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to an accident account printed at the time in the Midland Reporter-Telegram.

The police report indicates no charges were filed. That section of the report was left blank.

'As far as we know, no charges were filed,' said Midland city attorney Keith Stretcher. 'I don't think it's unusual that charges weren't filed.'
