What if Bush, facing impeachment, resigns?
Obviously, I would be celebrating...at least for a bit. But then comes the reality of Dickhead Cheney being the president, which whomever asshole he chooses as his VP.

Is there any way we can get to BushCo as a whole? I mean the lot of them? Seriously, we ALL know Cheney, Rove, Rice, Rummie, etc. were just as involved in the high crimes. Can an entire administration be impeached?

8. And then Ted Stevens, and after him, Condor Lizard.
The succession, through the Cabinet, isn't good. Nobody even halfway sane until you get to Mineta.

16. If Cheney becomes president he doesn't have to name Hastert VP
He can nominate anyone he wants. Methinks he find someone even slimier than Hastert.

30. If Cheney also was impeached, then Hastert would become president.
At present, there aren't any good alternatives in line...except for Mineta. But that'd never happen.

4. Cheney Would Be Easier to Impeach Than Bush
Cheney will not be the President. There is no crime that Bush is guilty of that Cheney is not also guilty of. Impeach then imprison.

6. let's concentrate on winning
the House in 2006. Without that happening, the chances for impeachment are zero. Republicans are too corrupt to do what's right.

7. The problem with resignation is that he will be pardoned
by his successor, just as Ford pardoned Nixon. I would prefer all out impeachment.

22. We could impeach Cheney though
Then they would be left holding the idiot bu$h with no backbone to run things.
That would be the funny part.

beyond Condi, beyond the Speaker of the House.

The Republican Party is corrupt to the core.

12. He would never resign
In fact, if he were impeached (from my keyboard to god's modem), they would probably have to physically throw him out of the white house. I could just see Laura having to lead him blubbering all the way back to Crawford.

13. There's no way to get to any of them.
There will be no impeachment. There will be no consequences for the crimes of this administration.

Without a big win in both the house and the senate in 06, nothing will change.

There will be no big fall of the administration, they will leave in Jan 2009, and that will be it.

21. I'm not being irrational, just asking a question. Sorry, Eyeore.
I'm just as skeptical as the next person, especially after living through another election theft. But I think it's fair to ask the question, especially since so many people are talking about impeachment. It's still okay to be hopeful that things can change, right?

15. Impeach Them All!
Note:Long time viewer, first time poster, be kind

I dunno, but it makes sense to me to remove them all. And I mean all of them. Impeach any all Senators/Reps that went along with their ludicrous plan to "liberate" the Middle East (oil). I think the public is afraid to let any more cats out of the bag though. What if we got confirmation that 9/11 was indeed planned by BushCo? Or that the Christmas Tsunami was indeed the result of a nuclear test between the US and India? (Evidence is mounting) I don't think the public wants to know these things so they just shut their eyes and go for the BushCo rollercoaster. I mean, what can they/we do? We've already defeated the chimp in 2 elections!

especially with all the slimeballs in office right now. But is there any legal way to rid ourselves of this entire corrupt adminstration?

25. Shit - - You Talk About A Lame Duck?
If Bush and Cheney were tossed out it wouldn't matter a bit which Republican got the wheel. It would be the all time least effective person ever placed in Government for the year or two he or she held office. Impeach the bastards and whoever takes their place will be utterly powerless.

26. Impeachment CAN happen

These apparently cynical naysayers who always chime up about not focusing on impeachment but on 2006 are getting on my nerves. Let's focus on the whole picture. Impeachment AND elections. We are the momentum.
