2. shouldn't he give his supporters a reason to contribute ?
he HAS plenty of money and nothing to show for it as yet.

Win NH and maybe then it makes sense to go begging.

Show me the money ? Show me the results !

7. He has given us a reason.
The reason is that he's running for President, and he's a good guy with good ideas.

Nothing to show for it? How about the fact that he started as an obscure governer of an obscure state, and went on to revitalize the Democratic party and revolutionize campaigning for the better?

Maybe winning Iowa and New Hampshire is the most important thing to some people, but we Dean supporters should be nothing but proud of the impact we have had so far.

8. fair enough
but IS there an upper limit just for being a good guy ? How much rewards is enough rewards ?

No problem with being proud of your guy, it would be bad if you were not.

I would have to argue that his "revolutionized campaigning" has yet to proove itself to be for the better. Also that its revolutionary but thats another thread.

Hey, its your money, spend it any way that please you but whats wrong with accountability and expectation of results ?

An energy policy that doesn't require we go to war against brown people and Russian people and Chinese people to keep our motors running.

13. My expectation is for him to stay in and stay on message.
When I first starting donating to Dean, it was for one reason; he was taking the fight directly to *. Kerry, Lieberman, Edwards and Gephardt had lost their political souls. Dean is good for the Democratic Party and whether or not he wins or loses, my money will have been well spent.

21. Here's a good reason
Did you happen to catch my post about the Kerry staffer who just arrived north for the campaign?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=192543#194558

We now have a Kerry staffer here in the north. She called on her way up (just this past Sat. night), no supporters, no office, no nothing. She called our party chair asking for a place to stay for free for a couple of weeks.

The campaign did nothing for her. I mean nothing. She showed up late to the only large Dem event in this region before our caucus, no materials, had little idea what to do and gave a very pretentious speech on Kerry's behalf.

While we all admire this young girl for her bravery (even though we're not Kerry supporters for the most part) we are all disgusted that they would just throw her out into this frozen tundra friendless and clueless. There were no Kerry supporters for her to call here, none. The Kerry campaign has been virtually invisible.

The other day when they called the Dem office they were apparently deciding whether or not to send this girl up here. Their first question: "Is Dean sending staff?" (Answer: yes)

I have seen no evidence of organization whatsoever. With less than two weeks to go this girl is supposedly going to find and open an office and deliver the north to Kerry.

I'd count that as rather pathetic, not "fantastic".

Dean is running a national campaign and it shows. Donating to this campaign has helped us to do this. Our supporters don't show up to no fellow supporters, no place to stay and forced to sink or swin on thier own. The Dean campaign set up offices in states other than Iowas and NH long ago and it's paying off again and again. And they didn't call anyone first to see if another campaign was doing it too before acting. ;-) Some lead, some follow. Choose what works for you I guess. I choose leader and will continue to support my choice with time and treasure.

Julie

10. In honor of Kerry's vote FOR the IWR
this Clark supporter just made a donation to the Dean campaign.

I also donated to Clark & Kunnich tonight.

I'm fed up with what's going on and I don't want to take it anymore!
