Chris Matthews Sunday Show--geeez!
Ignoring the day's serious headlines, the show's first three topics that consumed half the show: 1) Howard Dean and how he is hurting the party; 2) Hillary and how she's playing it both ways; and 3) Kerry's grades at Yale.

I assure you, I am not making this up. I turned off the TV--could not take it any more.

3. Wasn't Joe Klein just disgusting?
The show was a good demonstration of how out of it the talking heads in DC really are right now.

5. I heard Face the Nation - CBS....i/2 the show on Lindsey Graham and
Hillary Clinton.

We know what the orders from headquarters to the corporate partners were for this morning and who was complying.

Nothing about any of their scandals.

I am sick of the 2008 posturing. BUT MOREIMPORTANTLY I AM SICK AT THE LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY OF POLITICIANS, CORPORATIONS AND THEIR STOCKHOLDERS, BANKERS, REVERENDS, THINK TANKERS, and CONSTITUTION DESTROYERS.

We have lies, theft, betrayal, and death while they lie, deceive, deprive, steal, and kill us.

6. I made a donation today to the DNC
in support of Dean - could not really afford it, but what the hell. These cable new morons are not worth diddly. I would boycott their advertisers, but I can't watch them long enough to determine who buys ads for their shows.

7. Tried to watch Meet the Press and Tweety
but just couldn't do it. It's like listening to gibberish from Martians. These Blowhards appear that they don't even live on planet Earth, much less speak English. :puke:

However, did hear Sen. Weldon on MTP say that the problem with the war in Iraq is because of Syria and Iran. Duck and Cover!

8. I saw it and couldn't believe it...
The democratic party has no leadership? What is all that junk about and then listening to them drool over Hillary. I think they just love to consider what Bill's role will be. After what 3 years of listening to them drool over Hillary, I think everyone including Hillary supporters will be sick of them.

9. Please stop subsidizing that propaganda. Call your cable or satellite
company today. It could be the most effective act of protest you can make.

15. I watch only Daily Show now. Olberman is off my list lately...too much
like the others. I haven't watched CNN or MSNBC in months. Don't miss them. Find them more and more absurd and antiquated and propagana tools.

Like Fox, all their ratings have to be sliding. No thanks, I'll listen to AAR or what Daily Show when I want the news in perspective.

14. If I ever doubted he hated Kerry, this show surely proved it
Edited on Sun Jun-12-05 03:19 PM by karynnj
The cable stations whined for months for Kerry to sign the 180 form. He did, the military records are virtually identical to the 140 pages Kerry put on his web site. The only new piece, per the Boston Globe, was the missing first page of an 1969 fitness report right before he came back to the US. Kerry got the top rating and was recommended for accelerated promotion. (When he said he didn't have it, he was obviously telling the truth.)

So, do they mention this - NO! Their logic is then, with poor undergrad grades, he's not an intellectual - he just fooled everyone, including Teresa! How Tweety had the chutzpah to claim that Teresa didn't know her husband well because she said the country deserves a President not afraid of complexity, is beyond me. To add that Bush has probably read more books, is obnoxious.

Not one of those 4 idiots thought it would be better to judge a 61 year old man's intellect using his stellar debate performance or the quality of his questioning at Senate hearings than on grades he received as a 18-19 year old. Especially as he indicated in several quotes in Tour of Duty that he was not a dedicated student, he had way too many extracurricular activities and he admits to cutting class to fly. He even says he would have benefit from a strong mentor at this stage. Also noteworthy is that the activities, part time job and flying are all things that were either praise worthy or at least neutral - he wasn't drinking, branding other students or doing drugs.

His transition from this topic was obnoxious too. He commented that Hillary Clinton was a top student chosen to speak at the Wellesley's graduation. Wasn't there a tall guy chosen to speak at Yale? They also referred to her as valedictorian, but I think she was head of student government. In Living History, she refers to a tough first year, "I didn't hit my stride as a Wellesley student right away. I was enrolled in courses that proved very challenging. My struggles with math and geology convinced me once and for all to give up any idea of becoming a doctor or a scientist. My French Professor gently told me, "Mademoiselle, your talents lie elsewhere." There are enough subjects mentioned here, that I suspect that her first year might be less than stellar as well. (Although 4 D's! might be tough to beat.) In case it's not obvious I think both Hillary and Kerry are very intelligent.

19. I didn't see the show, but
I do think Tweety has no integrity and is all about ratings. He's a carnival huckster! It constantly amazes my how everyone has thrown all of Kerry's accomplishments down the memory hole. Chimp read more books than Kerry?? Hahaha! I say, prove it. I do know that Kerry has written more books!! Too funny for words.

18. It was terrible. Tell me these people aren't whoring for somebody. There
is no other way to explain it; they are so completely disassociated from reality, but clearly, in their world it just doesn't matter.
