Rosie blasts Sean Hannity on the View
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 10:59 AM by MellowOne
She said he was delusional. Hannity appeared on the View to talk about 2008 nominees. Rosie was a guest host and got into a fight with Hannity. She called Bush a war criminal, talked about prisoner torture and Koran abuse. Bush should be tried. Hannity's only defense was "isn't the world safer without Saddam?"

Hannity said Hillary was the strongest nominee for Democrats.

1. the republicans are just dying to get Hillary on ticket for 2008
they know that like gay married terrorists there is NOTHING IN THE UNIVERSE that will get out the radical rabid hate-with-my-vote wingnuts more than Hillary on the ticket.

Hillary has a strong political figure to help her, Bill. But she hasn't done one thing since her election to the Senate.

He suggested Jeb Bush, Cheney or Rice for the Repulicans. Rosie then torn into him about Rice.

9. I agree completely
Sad, because I don't have other problems with Hillary and I think she would bring a lot to the table (not to mention she'll have one of the most astute politicians ever as top adviser). However, the effects of years and years of propaganda on Hillary is not something we should be taking lightly or shrugging off.

20. What specifically does she bring to the table?
Anything tangible? I don't see it.

14. They all got out in '96 but Clinton was elected anyway
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 12:04 PM by Toots
There just aren't near as many rabid right-wingers as people would like to think there are. some people still have a little independent thought process left. I think eight years of republican domination will take it's toll. Hillary is extremely smart and quite popular as well. If she decides to run and gets the nomination I would be quite surprized actually if she did not win. People already know basically how she would govern and I think are not all that disturbed by it. Imagine eight years of peace and prosperity once again. I think though that any democrat will do well after eight years of this shit. People are beginning to awaken just a little. Bush* fatigue is definitely setting in.

3. Hannity's response is typical for all repukes
when behind the 8-ball on Iraq they all come forward with the world is safer without Saddam or Saddam was a bad man.
The response I always offer is the world would be safer without the bu$h regime too.

4. I hear Hannity's defense a lot. I have crafted a reply that works wonders.
"Isn't the world safer without Saddam?"

"Not as safe as it would be without Bush."

I am not sure if this works because it is true, or because it makes them so angry that they lose the ability to form rational thought. Either way I mark it down as a win.

6. Or you could say:
"Have you seen the pics of him in his undies ? How dangerous could an old man in saggy Fruit of the Looms really have been ?"

Not to mention a nice little reminder that it was OBL (supposedly) behind the WTC attacks, not Saddam Hussein.

8. The world is safer without Saddam???
Really? How can that be true when Dick Cheney tells us another terrorist attack is imminent? Anyone checked Afghanistan lately? Since Saddam's gone, Iran and North Korea are not a concern...right? Now that Saddam's gone, are we going to open our borders full and stop checks for airline passengers?

Hannity IS delusional.

10. I emailed each of the ladies of The View...
...to complain about the media's handicapping of Hillary (aka Miss Inevitable) as the predetermined Democratic nominee.

I encourage all of you to go to abc.com and email Meredith, Star, Joy, Elisabeth, and Barbara individually (you can click on their names and send electronic mail to their mailbag), and ask them WHY the right-wing is trying to coronate Hillary so prematurely.

22. Did you hear what she said about her own show?
She said something like, this is why I don't still have my own show, I would be talking about this all the time. I loved it that she didn't give Hannity much chance to respond, just keep throwing out things. She does rock.

Someone should email her and ask her to join DU.

Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 01:45 PM by MellowOne
It was comical that Hannity could come up with much to defend his position. Also, Rosie told him to quit watching Faux News and to look at the pictures of the prisoners on the internet.
