We need Boxer on the Memo - Phone Protest!
Most of you know about the memo already, if you do not, go to www.downingstreetmemo.com and read, read, read.

Greg Palast has said and I quote "Evil, stupidity and self-dealing are shameful but not impeachable. What's needed is a "high crime or misdemeanor." And if this ain't it, nothing is."

If this truly is what it appears to be, then where is our leadership? Why is Harry Reid chatting with Frist over a Duck-a-la-Orange in stead of standing in front of news cameras screaming about the memo? Where is the response from the letter the 88 congressmen signed and delivered to the White House?

For the life of me, I cannot imagine why the "opposition" is laying down on this issue especially since they are on the verge of getting reamed by the "Nuclear Option". What the fuck is going on in D.C.?

Our only hope for exposure, I believe, is Barbara Boxer. She has been there for us at every turn. She is quiet on this issue now but I think it's high time we sent her a message. I think it's time we call her once again to stand up for us and voice our concerns.

I propose a full blitz on Boxers office. I am hoping we can orgainize a constant stream of calls to get her to stand up and issue a statement about the memo.

Here is her number - (202) 224-3553
Here is her e-mail webform - http://boxer.senate.gov/contact/webform.cfm

I think it's time for another Boxer Rebellion. Please call her and respectfully ask her to make a statement about the Downing Street Memo.

1. I think starting up an Email campaign
to get Boxer on this would be great. She did Ohio so I think it can be worked with this too. Conyers has the investigation going on and she could probably help him out. I think it's time as well.

2. It's gonna take more than Boxer, folks
Believe me, since she's my senator, I've emailed/written/called her so many times, I feel like we're on a first name basis! But I think in the past year, she's taken so much heat for being the only wacky liberal Democrat on issues--like the Ohio electorates. They creamed her for that.
I think the rest of our Dem senators are feeling marginalized and down-trodden. It's going to take all of us getting behind all of them to give them the courage to fight the good fight.

4. Because she stood up...
She has gained a fan in me. Because she stood up and actually voted for the contest, she immediately became my hero and has remained so ever since. Before Jan 6th, I hadn't even heard of Barbara Boxer, now, I TIVO everytime she's on. They can cream her all they want, the more they do the stronger she gets. If the rest of our Dem Senators feel marginalized, it's a malady they have brought on themselves by thier inaction. Where is Kerry? Where is Dodd? Where is Biden? Crickets chirp louder than these straw men. Give me a boxer to to fight this fight, give me Boxer to fight this fight. Thank you for sending her to the Senate, btw. She is a beacon of light in the storm.

5. She Needs Help From Colleagues
Her statement about imposing road blocks on the Bolton nomination once it cleared committee without endorsement included the tacit assertion that she wants all of the details to be shown to everyone. Between the yellow cake debacle and this latest evidence of high treason, the next thing we need is for the mainstream press to run with it doggedly.

In his inimitable style, Representative Conyers has assured that the entire House is aware of the Downing Street Memo but Ms. Boxer needs to do the same with the Senate and then let the cannons like Byrd, Kennedy and Kerry fire simultaneously.

Reid is too distracted with the nuclear option. I concur that he has been a bit too timid in negotiations but he understands that as bad as the current nominees for the federal bench are, the damage caused by having their ideology on the federal and appeals bench will be NOTHING compared with life under a 6-3 radical right Supreme Court!

Mr. Reid knows that he has the votes to block the nuclear option for the moment but timing is everything. In my opinion, he should let it come to a vote now so that Bolton's nomination can be blocked by the entire Senate and business as abnormal can continue.
