Which Repubs will buck Frist and vote to keep judicial filibusters?
I know we have McCain in our camp, but who are the others who have stated that they'll vote against Cheney changing the Senate rules? Snowe? Chafee? Hagel? Specter? And how likely are these others to join the Democratic (and democratic) camp?

We need six principled (as far as Republicans can be principled) Republicans to switch sides to stop Frist's insanity. Who are the most likely contenders?

3. Chafee will vote for Bolton.
He's a pretend moderate. I don't think he's a sure no at all.

9. Cafee is the wussiest of wusses if ever a wuss there was
He's so fucking cowed by rove and company he'll yank it out and pee on live teevee if they tell him to. Anything to keep his sorry ass in office. If he crosses them, they're threatening him with a strongprimary challenge next year. And the hell of it is ... its a really liberal state. Anyone right of him will have a very. very tough time getting any serious percentage of the vote.

He oughtta stand on principle ... not fear.

2. Warner is a strong possibility.
I think Lindsey Graham as well, but he's from SC, so you can't count on it. Also, Richard Shelby.

Snowe and Collins should be no's.

Specter and Chafee will vote party first. Chafee is a pretend moderate who usually votes party line when it counts.

McCain is the only one I feel good about. In the end, I think the Repugs have the votes. A lot of them will claim they didn't want to do it, blah, blah, blah, BUT...

Hagel, Chafee, Snowe, Collins, Warner, DeWine especially.

You can bet the anti-filibuster crowd is giving them an earful. They need to hear from the Sane Majority.

7. I hope I am proven wrong but I have no faith
in any of them. They are on BushCo payroll and work for him, not the country. Our taxes should not be paying their salaries.

12. I think Chaffee
Will just because of his 06 election. If he votes party line on this, whomever the Democratic candidate is will continue to bash him over the head with this issue. On the other hand if he doesn't some wiingnut might run against him in the primary, but in a state like RI, he's almost sure to win that primary.
