Nader Calls for Impeachment of Bush Over the War in Iraq
Ralph Nader, the independent candidate for president, condemned President George W. Bush yesterday as a "messianic militarist" who should be impeached for pushing the nation into a war in Iraq "based on false pretenses."

Mr. Bush's actions "rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors," Mr. Nader said in a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations in Manhattan. He said Mr. Bush had exceeded his authority in the face of widespread opposition at home and abroad.

"The founding fathers did not want the declaration of war put in the hands of one man," he said, contending that United States foreign policy goals are being hindered because the president tends to "talk like an out-of-control West Texas sheriff."

Mr. Nader said the White House should set a specific date before the end of 2004 to withdraw American troops. At the same time, he said he would advocate internationally supervised elections in Iraq.

need. Thanks a whole bunch Ralphie.

5. If Al Gore wouldn't have been such a weak candidate...
Nadar votes would not have mattered. Blaming Nadar is a weak charge.

11. In a race between a weak candidate and a right-wing moron
help should go to the weak candidate.

This may be a "weak charge" but do the math in Florida-weak but true.

13. The Supreme Court would have stopped a complete recount the
same way they stopped the incomplete one. Florida 2000 would not have been close if not for Nader.

3. Even though the article is a year old
that's a great idea.

We need a Dem majority in the Congress, first, though.

One step at a time... :)

talk about all the things that make Bush impeachable and a war criminal, even if impeachment is an impractical goal.

They don't have to call for impeachment to bang the drum about the facts that would justify impeachment proceedings, such as the newly leaked smoking-gun memo showing that Bush was lying about the cause of war and was "fixing" the evidence to fit his predetermined policy for massmurder. They can note that international crimes of aggression, and willfully misleading Congress are impeachable offenses.

"One step at a time" would make sense as a motto for the Democrats IF THEY WOULD START TAKING THE FIRST STEPS. But they never do.

8. Reality Check Time
Nixon - Would have been impeached by Democrat House and Senate and even that took months.

Clinton - pilloried by repuke House and Senate and timid Dems.

* -- No chance he'll be impeached by solid, theocrat/neocon rePuke House and Senate....

Not that Ralph and Ramsey and the rest of us should stop calling for it. The whole situation could flip in '06... :-)

That article is a year old. Why post it now? We know what Nader's stance was during the campaign.

15. More info. will surface about the criminal Bush Junta.
This latest report is another nail in the coffin of the GOP Machine. The Lame Stream Media will try it's best to keep the corupt Bush Junta in full power because it serves the LSM interest but the Net will push the info and it will get out. When top Dems stop being complicit with the Bush Junta agenda we may witness a turn of the Amerikan populace against the GOP and it's destruction of Amerika.
