Rice Erases Terror Scoreboard - Nixes 20 yr old report on terror!
"The report, which has been published annually for the past 20 years, was an ongoing source of embarrassment for the Bush Administration."

So just get rid of it, right?

"According to Johnson and U.S. intelligence officials familiar with the issue, statistics that the National Counterterrorism Center provided to the State Department reported 625 "significant" terrorist attacks in 2004.

That compared with 175 such incidents in 2003, the highest number in two decades.

The statistics didn't include attacks on American troops in Iraq, which President Bush as recently as Tuesday called "a central front in the war on terror."

The intelligence officials requested anonymity because the information is classified and because, they said, they feared White House retribution. Johnson declined to say how he obtained the figures."

1. No news is good news.
Pretty much par for the course, these days, at least where this administration is concerned.

Move along, citizen. Nothing to see here.

5. The whole centerpiece of this administration's existance is based on
the War on Terror. Without a scorecard, how are we going to know when we won?

Really, what a joke this administration is. Totally a bunch of criminals.

Well, it's true, isn't it? Do you see a report on terror? No? Then shut your pie hole!

8. quoting who?
Paragraphs 1 and 3 are unattributed quotes. Are we to assume they are from Condo Rice just because her name appears in the title? Please clarify.

10. use the links supplied and read the articles - you will see the quotes.
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 08:27 PM by cyberpj
the quotation marks do not refer to remarks by Rice but by the author of the article. I neglected to include the quotes on the remarks from the second article, however both are indicated with the links that I included in the original post.
