Toppling of Saddam Statue: A Government/Media Hoax
Recent referrals in the media to the toppling act went relatively unnoticed. Here's a very important post on another forum exposing the role of the media in perpetuating the govenrment's hoax. Please spread this around. It cannot just go by:

Iraq which wasn't involved in a battle mission?

Maybe the rebels now are just following America's lead. You destroy we destroy.

2. I actually heard NPR...
...reference this the other day. "Throngs of Iraqis toppeled the statue of Hussein, 2 years ago," or some such nonsense.

It is so disgusting how these lies get perpetuated by the media. Ugh.

3. The pictures tell the story
Some "throng" huh? A staged propoganda event made possible by manipulating the frame. Pull back and the apparent "crowds" in the tight shots aren't really there.

5. not one of these photos...
...has ever been shown on tv or printed in the newspapers. The Internet has been the only source of these photos. Same with the Jessica capture....and her dramatic rescue. All made up crap. But, where is the outrage?

4. "Please spread this around."
Speaking as someone who did my best -- along with LOTS of other people -- to "spread this around" 2 years ago when this happened, AND when the truth about how this was a hoax was all over the net within 24 hours of the event, I'm wondering why you think this "cannot just go by" when it already HAS gone by.

It's old news. Maybe it's new to you, but why is that? It's not as if there weren't LOTS of us spreading this around when it happened. Didn't do much good, did it?

You're not going to get any more people to care about it now than we did when it had just happened. The phony story is the one that has entered into the consciousness of the masses (history IS written by the victors), there's virtually no way to dislodge it.
