There are quite a few who don't like what he stands for as far as the theocrats taking over the party, however, he does stand as a symbol of Republican victories, so that tends to get left behind.

...but you know how it is when you make a decision, it becomes yours, and you often defend it long after you know it just is not working. When it will reach crisis point, who knows?

It's like the Red Sox vs. the Yankees. No way would you root for the other team, no matter how bad your team's pitching or hitting is. Sad really, that they can't differentiate between entertainment and political reality.
