China's Awesome Culture Of Life!

Since we all know that the GOP "Culture of Life" includes capital punishment, we can be proud to be in the top four countries in executions....Yeow!! Common Dreams features an article today about Amnesty International's report on execution stats worldwide.

"The report says China easily operates the most stringent capital punishment regime, with an estimated 3,400 executions last year. In second place, Iran executed at least 159, Vietnam at least 64, and 59 prisoners were put to death in the US."

I'm sure the Culture of Life crowd is just itchin' for another 3300 or so til we can be competitive with the Walmart Factory, formerly known as China.

Really makes you proud to be in such good company Culture Of Life wise, huh.

1. Bu$h refused to comute 152 death sentences because god would take care of

any actually not guilty, and it wasnt his job to second guess the courts, they did their job... Justice "Was" done.

3. China's leader do not pretend to have a Culture of Life like Bush does

It's ridiculous for us to be holier-than-thou over other countries anyway.

4. It wouldn't need that many

Don't forget to adjust for population: China has about 4.4 times the population of the US, which obviously has an impact on the number of executions (though, per capita, it's still far more bloodthirsty than the US).

I suspect the USA would rate a little higher, seeing as how China has over 1,100,000,000 (1.1 billion) citizens
