How old is Lowell Weicker? Could he run against Lieberman?
As a Democrat in the primary, or an independent afterwards? If Lieberman wins the primary, and if Weicker ran against him and a liberal independent, would Weicker steal votes from Lieberman or the liberal?

2. The voters of CT have already express who they prefer
when it comes to Weicker and Lieberman.

6. didn't he run for and was elected governor after that election?
and don't circumstances change? Is it possible that in that close election that some voters may have died off or changed their minds? I think Weiker would be an interesting choice to run against Lieberman. And at 74 he is younger than some in the Senate.

7. Yes, and he did such a great job as Governor
that he didn't need to run for a second term.

4. Yes, but I think people don't hate him for it now
But, yes, there was a HUGE protest in downtown Hartford when he pushed the income tax through. However, we had years of stable budgets until Bush came into office. So, I think many in the state have forgiven him.

8. Raising? I believe he initiated the CT state income tax!
Whether it was warranted or not, that is his legacy!

in addition, have you ever heard of the Hartford Whalers. Well, Weicker helped get the team sold to a swell lad named Peter Karmanos. Karmanos then proceeded (after a sham of a season ticket sales drive to show hockey's viability in Hartford) to move the Whalers out of Hartford.

Weicker later got rewarded with a seat on Karmanos's company's board.

Now imagine the republican party's ads.

Weicker's kryptonite. Move on.
