If Terri Schaivo were an Iraqi (or just had brown skin), most conservatives wouldn't give a rat's behind about her life.

If she were an Iraqi war veteran, her feeding tube would have been removed long ago to help plug the holes in Bush's budget.

If DeLay weren't in hot water, he'd be overseas embezzling more taxpayer money right now, and wouldn't come within a million miles of the subject of Terri.

If her condition were caused by complications from, say, an abortion procedure, conservatives would be howling for her to be strapped into a Florida electric chair, and Jeb-boy would be laughing while pulling the lever.

If her parents were Democrats, conservatives would be using Terri Schaivo the promote the idea of a nationwide scourge of incurable invalids unnecessarily draining the resources of our fine, world-class health care system.
