1. Andrea Mitchell actually said that the government has done a good
job at 'spinning' the news!!! (with their prepackaged videos that local news organizations take to be the truth).

3. Or is it because this is "Sunshine Week"?
Although that is apparently a print media idea, are all media giving a nod to it? I mean, in a lip-service kind of way...so that when the week is over they go back to blithely ignoring their own role in promoting the admin's propaganda.

I'd like to be less cynical, and think maybe they're growing a little spine. I guess I can hope for that. I do honestly believe that inside a co-opted media there are journalists, at least some journalists, struggling to be free.

4. 'Journalists' who caved to pressure from corporate bosses might just be
waking up to the fact that there is no such thing as job security when journalists are killed, ruined and so on. Maybe some are beginning to understand that kissing ass is not gonna save their ass in the long run with the junta? Am hoping that is the case, but not holding my breath.

7. "Your silence will not save you"
I, too, am waiting to see if this is a "two news cycles" event or the beginning of a realization on the part of the media that they've been co-opted and are still held in contempt by this corrupt administration. Will they continue to go back to their abuser, hoping this time it will be different, or will they finally break free and end this dysfunctional relationship?

I've seen these rumblings before, but nothing has come of it. I'm not particularly sanguine about the possibilities this time, but Spring is just around the corner. Who knows? Maybe we'll see a rebirth of journalism in the United States.

6. Andrea must have realized that the Greenspan family
may have to rely on her income for a while since Alan's lost his shine.

8. GAO says its illegal.........whats to debate?
Nothing to defend. GAO SAYS ITS ILL

The far more important question is: When will the House of Representatives get their collective asses together and realize that the actions of Bill Clinton, while egregious to some, pale in comparison to the actions of GW Bush and his associates.

It is well past the time when legislation should be drafted and the articles of impeachment written and presented. Failure of the House to take these necessary steps places them in the position of aiding and abeting criminal activity and subject to the same penalties under the la
