why ask democrats if they can't pick a winner?
The fact the Dean is getting the most votes in the primaries doesn't seem to convince anyone that he's electable. So why bother to let Democrats vote on who Democrats would like to have as President? Obviously, we can't pick a winning candidate. Why not just let Republicans and Independents vote in Democratic primaries since the opinions of the party base are so flawed?

1. Sometimes
we nominate folks who can win and sometimes we don't. I don't think it argues for changing the system but we have to realize that there is a big difference between what it takes to win a primary race and what it takes to win a GE. BTW, Dean isn't getting the most VOTES in the primaries yet. They haven't been conducted. :-)

2. Hoping you were smiling when you said that.
Terminating the right to vote because you don't like the results would be a BushCo initiative.

3. You're right.
Let's let Republicans do it for us.

Great idea!

4. Dean is getting no votes
and neither is anyone else. No one has voted yet. But if you believe in your theory, ask President Tsongas how well polls work. Things change and the picture clears up. Our biggest problem right now: 9 candidates. It needs to be cut down to 4-5. That helps people sort through the field. The second major reason for confusion is people aren't paying attention. No one has to vote still for over a month. When people get into it, things will change further.

5. They are in NH
That's why I worry about that primary so much. The rules are different in each state as to who can vote in the primary. Besides, all any Republican has to do is change his registration this year because there aren't any Republican primaries anyway.

6. Doesn't seem to convince who?
To a republican no Democrat is electable.

Dean is very electable.
Clark is Very electable.
Gephardt is not imo.
Edwards is not imo.
I gained new respect for Sharpton UNTIL
he dumped on Dean re the flag issue.
Kucinich is a little too excitable for me,
to preachy and I don't need someone yelling
at me to get their point.
Mosley Braun is a very nice lady and I
love her alot and wish we lived in an age
where a woman could be elected VP, she would
make a very good one.
lieberman, lizard lip lieberman will be elected when hell
freezes over. I wouldn't vote lieberman for dog catcher.
Since Gore's endorcement of Dean lieberman has been using saddams
name in the same sentence with Gore like that warmongering bush
used saddam and 911 in the same sentence leading the American
people to believe saddam had something to do with 911. lieberman is worse than that puke like zell miller.
And Kerry, has he attacked Dean too much to be any help
supporting Dean against Bush?
If Dean wins the D primary of course.
