(Olympia) Snowe for president? No thanks, she says
BANGOR — Sen. Olympia Snowe said she's flattered that a stranger is endorsing her as a candidate for president, but she plans to seek re-election to the Senate.

Simon Dodd has never met Snowe but he is promoting her as a presidential candidate with his Web site, www.OlympiaSnowe2008.com.

There's not much to the article but it's kind of funny.

I'm hoping we can defeat her in the Senate race next year.

2. Snowe is one of the good ones..
She's my senator, and I think she's quite good. I know I should want a majority for the Dems. but defeating Snowe would be an empty victory. I do not know who is planning to run against her.

4. I agree she is one of the good moderates. I still vote against her.
She helps to give the Republicans a majority. As good as she is (I do think she's closer to a Kerry Democrat than a Bush Republican), we cannot afford to allow Republicans to control this seat in a Blue State. She's had ample opportunity to do the right thing and move accross the aisle. I know she'd jeopordize her assignments, but the fact is, she's been marginalized in her own Party. We can no longer afford the luxury of voting for a nice person when that person's seat adds to the majority of the Republican Party. Same with Collins, she's gotta go too.

Since she is not a raving fundie neocon nutcase she ain't one of the 'in crowd'...

5. Its disappointing that Snowe hasn't.....
been more outspoken about the facist turn of her own party. The Club
for Growth has targeted her for being too moderate.
