Working Families Party endorses Spitzer
Working Families Party endorses Spitzer

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Democratic state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer Saturday picked up his first political party endorsement from the Working Families Party in his bid for governor in 2006.

The Working Families Party, which is largely credited for pushing the state to raise its minimum wage, said it will decide on a gubernatorial nominee by June. The party said it endorsed Spitzer early to help him forward with his campaign.

Last month, Spitzer, best known for his investigations of white collar crime on Wall Street, announced his intentions to run. Incumbent Republican Gov. George Pataki has not said whether he will seek a fourth term.

1. That is the line I voted on during the Presidential election.
Another nearby thread mentioned Pataki as possible UN Ambassador. I would love to see him out as NY Governor. He was :puke:
I NEVER voted for him.

2. Are Spitzer's chances good?
I read somewhere that Pataki was pretty unpopular in NY.
