More companies may help prosecutor in Delay's case
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 03:39 AM by rainbow4321
According to this blog site Jan 12th entry, anyway....

http://theredstate.typepad.com/

The agreements were signed with Illinois-based Sears, Roebuck and Co. and DCS Inc., a debt-payment company based in California, and say the contributions were given "on the basis of false and misleading information provided by the fund-raiser that solicited the contribution."

Sources close to the investigation said this week that similar deals were being negotiated with some of the remaining six companies indicted late last year: the Williams Companies Inc., Bacardi USA, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care, Questerra Corp. and Westar Energy Inc.

2. And of course it is buried in a blog...
instead of on MSM news....

Wonder if this is why the repukes backed down from that new ethics law they were threatening to pass? They got the truth from Delay and they know it will get uglier??

3. Oh yes
They got a lot of calls from constituents on the ethics change. So they changed the provision back about a leader being under indictment, but they also made it more difficult to initiate an ethics investigation.
Let's hope the Austin DC accomplishes what congress refuses to. Besides, his prosecution is a criminal one. That is far more appropriate for Delay.
