Originally I thought it was his pathology, that he's so sadistic he wasn't capable of looking sorrowful enough in proportion to the tragedy; he wouldn't be able to avoid smirking, or smiling inappropriately.

But it's so appalling that the President of the United States would not have issued a statement a full three days after a world event that it's got to indicate something very serious in his physical condition.

These little jaunts to Crawford vacation land, are too frequent and too often to not be suspicious of this retreat out of the public eye.

There's a gaudily decorated (in very poor taste) White House in which they can entertain friends and enjoy the holidays .

Maybe they both drink up a storm while in Crawford.
