bush sets the precedent for ALL future presidents.
In future, ALL presidents of the USA, INCLUDING HILLARY CLINTON should she become one:

1. May wage war against any nation for any reason.

2. May arrest, detain, & torture any US citizen and any non-US citizen for any reason.

3. Is not responsible for anything s/he says or does.

4. Is not responsible for anything anyone in her/his administration says or does.

5. Is not responsible for job losses, the economy, the homeless, the starving, the ill, or the US dollar.

6. Is not responsible for the lack of medicines/vaccinations.

7. May tax the "insignificant" (poor & middle class) US citizens and hand the money over to the "haves and have mores".

8. Is not required to have any honor, honesty, integrity, morality.

9. May lie about anything & everything at will with no repercusions, including under oath, such as in the State of the Union Address.

10. May award tax-payer-funded no-bid contracts to companies with ties to the president & his/her administration with no repercusions.

11. Will not owe anybody any explanation on anything.

12. May write new laws in secret, and leak information damaging to national security in punishment of anyone who points out the president's lies.

13. In short, every future president, thanks to bush's precedent, may do whatever the f*ck she/he wants to do to anyone at any time for anything.

And of course the rightwingnuts will loyally stifle all dissent and blindly do as Dear Leader orders them to do, even when the president has a (D) after his/her name. :D

4. thanks!
You may quote it, edit it, add to it...I suspect there are & will be many more items to add to this list before bush is finally impeached.

And of course the rightwingnuts won't do as they say when the president has a (D), but pointing out their total hypocrisy shuts them up for a few seconds. :D

2. You are correct about everything in your list, except
the last statement. If the Great Leader has a "D", then none of the rules above apply, and the leader must be impeached, even if they were legally elected.

:grr:

3. Repukes have this genetic deficiency...
...that causes failure to recognize hypocrisy.

One of many recessive genes found in repuke DNA...

5. Although I agree with the premise...
...of your 13 points...we keep leaving the Democrats out of the equation. So we don't keep repeating the same mistakes...we must remember that the Bushies couldn't have attained so much unaccountable power WITHOUT the direct and indirect help of the Democratic leadership.

6. I'm pretty sure these rules only apply to Republicans.
Just watch. If we ever have another Democratic president, the MSM whores will turn on him/her like a pack of wolves, and none of these rules will apply.

... just a hunch.

8. Most or all of these have precedent.
You are coming from a late 20th century perspective on these things, but most of these have been done before, and better, by former presidents. We tortured and killed Native Americans. We fought wars in the South and the Phillippines for no reason but conquest. Even Reagan did the reverse Robin Hood with taxes. We had Presidents like Hoover who irresponsibly allowed corporations to run rampant and cause the Depression.

The main problem with Bush isn't that he sets the precedent, so much as he does all the worst shit any president has ever done ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

9. It doesn't have to be this way
A true leader would take office and repudiate all of the Bush transgressions and sign them into a reaffirming set of laws. A true leader would also set a standard by which future presidents would be judged and make laws allowing an orderly and fair way to see him removed from office. A true leader would fix what Bush has established as precedent so it could never happen again.
