I voted DEMOCRAT via absentee for JOHN KERRY. I could have sat on my ass and not even registered, but I did. A friend is a Republican and he voted for JOHN KERRY, not the Thief-in-Chief.

I did not support Kerry in the primaries. I supported JOHN EDWARDS. And the fact is, in the end, he was the one who pushed for them to look into ways they could stay in the race, while Kerry wanted to concede.

I am a LIBERAL and damn proud of it. But I want every vote counted (as Bev Harris does). And John Kerry said every vote would be counted. Now he has lawyers going into Ohio ....and rolling their eyes and saying the outcome will not change and that there are 'conspiracy theories' regarding Republicans stealing the election out on the Internet (or as Bush phrased it, the 'Internets').

I'm listening to Randi Rhodes right now, as well, and I started a website for prayers for Elizabeth Edwards (www.prayersforelizabeth.org).
So stop with your 'Republican' label. I couldn't possibly hate them any more than I do right now. Just because I don't support Clark (and a majority of DU'ers are Clarkies, and he wins every DU poll) doesn't mean I'm not a Democrat. I just don't like him. I see him in a military uniform and immediately think we're going to have even more wars. That's the last thing we'll need after 4 years of this idiot in office.

The timing of Elizabeth's illness could not have been worse. But they were courageous, and fought through it.

I don't like to get in the middle of this. I appreciate the work of Kerry, Edwards, Clark and last, but certainly not least, Howard Dean.

There is room for everyone. And just people belong to various parts of the Democratic party doesn't mean that we won't unite when the time comes.

2. I'm a Clark supporter

and I have to disagree with you that just because Wes was in the military and a 4 Star General we'd have more wars. There are more warmongers in this administration who never wore the uniform. That's why it's so easy for them to send others to die. Wes wouldn't do that.

9. Saying that because Clark was in the military hierarchy

you "immediately think we would have more wars" doesn't exactly jibe with the fact the last President that had been a General Officer in the military, Eisenhower, was the last person of his status to warn of "the military-industrial complex". Nor does it fit in with the fact that the current mess was brought about by the machinations of a bunch who by-and-large never saw the inside of a uniform other than in prep school.
Often times those that have actually been in war are the least likely to precipitate another for no just cause.

Look I am not accusing you of being a freeper. I have only seen two threads by you, and I simply cannot make a judgement for myself with such limited knowledge. And I really don't feel like going in search of your other threads. But I do want to say, a lot of the people here calling you a freeper do have solid reasons why they are doing so. Perhaps if you truly are a democrat, you need to rethink the way you present yourself. After all in todays society everything is about presentation.
