Voter registrations should be able to be checked
It amazes me that the US, which requires people to get registered before voting in elections doesn't make it easier to check if your registration is in order. A web site should be constructed, making it possible for voters to check whether they're registered, and if their registration information is correct.

In Norway we receive voting cards in the mail a month before election, so that everyone can see whether they're registered, registered correctly, and where their polling place is.

(Yes, I know, that's never, never going to happen as long as the fascists are in power, but it is an idea to omplement after they're booted out of office.)

1. Well, most of us get voter registration cards too
I live in GA and I'm forever getting voter reg. cards. When I vote, they check my name against the voter rolls (I do have to show ID, presumably the voter reg card would do if I used it), I have to sign in and fill out my address (every darned time I have to do this!), and then I'm shuffled down the line for yet more processing. Frankly, it's quite tedious. BUT that complaint doesn't mean I want it altered in such a way that would make it easier for voter fraud.

2. I see.
I was trying to come up with a solution to the problem e've been seeing in NM - 10,000 out of 13,000 absentee and provisional ballots tossed out.

If people could check online, for example, to see if their registrations have been handed in instead of being tossed, voting rights would be a tad more secure.

If polling place is listed on the voter registration cards, the voters should be able to vote normally instead of not having their votes counted because they had to vote prov.
