The Red states?

No. Nobody's ever going to fly a jet into a goddamn silo.

The urban northeast will be the ones to deal with the blowback, just like last time, when Republican racism and stupidity finally come home.

They want to discriminate against gays. They want to discriminate against people of color. They want to discriminate against the disabled. They want to discriminate against the poor. They want to discriminate against anyone who doesn't believe their particular brand of invisible friend worship.

Yeah, he lost. But its not all his fault.

The poor and undereducated and the masses in the middle of the country have been fed a diet of rhetoric that the Repukes share their values and that following them will make them rich and prosperous. They have heard this for many, many years. The Dems need to find a better way to get their message to these people

Calling Kerry names may make you feel better, but what does that accomplish?

Kerry did the best he could. I'm happy with that.

28. Kerry did the best he could? WTF are you smoking friend
Kerry allowed himself to get mired down in the Smear Boat Vets' shit for a whole damn month, when he could have been bringing in more voters! Kerry and his handlers successfully alienated the left/progressive base of the party until it was too damn late! Kerry tried to place nice with these Bushco bastards, refusing to call them on their BS, and got his ass handed to him as a consequence. And what is really sad is that Kerry can walk away from this mess, insulated by his millions of dollars, born up by his positions of power, not having to suffer the consequences of another Bush presidency(in fact benefitting from it), while those of us who fought, sweated, bled, and worked to get him in are going to have to pay the bill in full!

Granted, it was not all of Kerry's fault, but he does bear a heavy burden of responsibility for his actions and inactions. And he certainly didn't do "the best he could"

Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:54 PM by Neecy
I don't have a rich, comfortable life to go back to and pretend like the last 4 years have never happened.

I will continue to oppose this gang of criminals, at every opportunity, at every moment, even if I'm the last citizen in our country to oppose the junta. I'll stand alone on a sidewalk, in the rain - like I did yesterday, for hours, with a VOTE/KERRY EDWARDS sign while passing Bush supporters called me a 'fucking asshole' - to protest the criminal behavior of our government.

We can no longer change it. But I will NOT accept the crimes that are being done in my name as an American citizen. I will NOT 'unify' with an enemy who's killing scores of women and children in Iraq. I will NOT 'unify' with a government whose only domestic policy is one of looting and plundering our national treasury. I will NOT 'unify' with a dangerous force who, in the name of Christianity, is attempting to impose their fundamentalist religious faith on my life, my family, and my future.

Unity be FUCKING DAMNED.

25. No Surrender, No Unity, No Healing: Expose Bush- Raise Awareness of Agenda
We must continue to work to expose Bush, to try to bring him to justice, to try to turn public opinion against him.

We saw the disaster that "reconciliation" caused after 2000. It made things worse - Bush and his cronies ran all over Democrats who were trying to "heal" the country and "unite". I do not want to talk about "healing" or "being united" or any of those old tired worn out ways Democrats lay down and let Republicans run over us and spit on our dreams. Never again.

We many not have the power in Congress to impeach the chimp, but we can write LTEs, talk to people, organize, file charges, do whatever is in our power to make Bush more hated, more resented, less respected, and less powerful. We can hope for the best - that he would step down like Nixon.

We need to work in any way we can so that history judges Bush as the worst president the United States has ever had. We need to write OPEDs, LTEs, books, essays exposing the criminal activity and harm that Bush has done and is continuing to do to the United States.

With 4 more years, control of the House and Senate, and the ability to PACK the Supreme Court, I don't really think there is a much of a future for the United States as we knew it. But to whoever or whatever is left, we need to make sure that the record is straight and that it is clear that Bush caused the decline and fall of the United States.

I have never been more glad than I am today that I do not have any children. I would be in absolute tears if I thought my offspring would have to grow up and live in the world that Bush is creating.

39. Why do we have to unite?
I was hoping today that John Edwards would have said something like "Its unfortunate that someone who served his country in the military & congress had to have his reputation smeared in order for someone to win an election." "John Kerry has just as much values as George Bush"

I dont know, I just dont understand the democratic party sometimes. They dont fight back & then they wonder why people don't respect them. They offer no explanations, just look to keep the peace. And they are percieved as weak, instead of unifying.

How they let bush get away with his neglectful actions before 9/11 happened, will always be a mystery to me. Bush's greatest "strength" and they could have have ripped him to pieces.

Ironically NY, NJ & Pa those most effected by 9/11 didn't go for bush. They have no illusions of him protecting them. Too bad we didnt dispell that myth to the rest of the country, it cost us this election.

Well doesnt matter what I think. Too late now. Last thing I ever want to do is unite with republicans. Fuck them.

... he didn't go around grinning like an idiot and calling for unity and healing and "coming together".

What he did was to prepare himself for the next time.

And when the next time came, he beat Schmeling into the ground.

Screw unity, screw healing, screw all species of warm-n-fuzzy crap. Gridlock is our mission. May we all devote ourselves to gumming up the works until our next opportunity to kick their asses. Let's see how easily they can achieve their agenda with us clamped onto their ankles. We can be their ball and chain if we choose to be. Oh hell I dont know..there are alot of factors, but alot of those votes were cast by the organized robots sent out by their moraLIEzing churches.
