5. And After Roe, . . .
They'll turn their attention to:

Miranda v. Arizona
Brown v. Board of Education
Loving v. Virginia
Baker v. Carr

You can kiss the Fourth Amendment goodbye.

Also the Equal Protection Clause.

Welcome back, Jim Crow.

6. Good, I'm so tired of fighting for other women to have rights, let them
do it for awhile. Let the fucking idiots lose all their rights to choose. Who fucking cares anymore, our country is lost. I'm listening to the communist Mel Martinez as Senator of florida...fucking bob graham, I hope he's happy.

8. There does our democracy ...
They control the House, the Senate and the courts. They're taking away our civil liberties, our right to sue and our votes. We have no one to turn to - there's no one to help us. It's over. They're going to fill the courts with RW nuts. Christianity will be forced upon the country. Women will be reduced to being the property of their fathers and/or their husbands. Abortion, divorce, birth control, pre-marital sex, homosexuality and independent thought of any kind will be outlawed. It's over. This election is over, this country is over - and the worst part about it is I'm too sick and too poor to leave.

10. Well, I guess there goes DU too.
We'll be declared illegal. No more free speech. And better plan on being in church on Sunday -- they'll be taking attendance, and the jackboots will be calling on anybody who's not there.

13. Come off it! Where do you people live? Tehran?
I live in a very conservative area, as Christian as anywhere in Red America.

I feel no such threat. I'm a Christian but generally don't attend. They invite me from time to time but I'm just not a joiner. Works for everyone, no problem. Regardless of how I vote in a given election, no one really cares that much.

I can't imagine this bizarre scenario of Christians acting like Soviet commissars taking place anywhere that I've lived. None of the clergy I know would ever sign up for such a thing. Especially the Baptists who have a long history of opposing any establishment of religion. They might want a few mangers at Christmas or have some sympathy for a Ten Commandments display at a courthouse but they don't want a government powerful enough to enforce religion.

Sane people know such practices are a danger to a free people.
