25. feeling good about election

Hi Everyone!

We voted at 7:05 a.m. and there was a line! I feel so good about all the posts from across the nation. They all are saying the same basic message--long lines.

Here are my thoughts registrations and turnout. We have seen that Democratic registrations have far outnumbered the repubs. So, why would folks register Dem to vote for shrub? This bodes very well for us.

When all is said and counted my prediction is 57% Kerry and about 40% for shrub. The other ~3% will be divvied up by the other parties. Hang in folks we are almost there!

27. I Do, just got back from voting

I live in a solidly republican district. It's so republican that most district races have no democratic challenger. So I got there, parked right in front of the building (lot was half empty) and there was virtually NO LINE at all. I walked right up to the polling personnel, got by ballot in less than a minute and was out of there in 5 minutes.

I did ask if the turnout was high and the election judge said, well, and referred at his voter sheet and said yeah, it's kind of high.

Hey, this polling place usually rocks in most elections...what he was really saying was it is not as high as they were expecting.

These are republican poll judges by the way and they did not look too happy.

At least that is my take.

High voter turnout is continuing as far as I know. Should be good for us. There was a bigger line than I remember in my Repuke-leaning Montgomery County, PA precinct at 12:30, but not a huge one. I think it was some more Kerry voters!
