Howard Stern - Serious Show Today?
I heard he was very serious and hammering his listeners to vote Kerry. Also heard some listeners were pissed off he was being so political.

Can anyone confirm?

2. i listened until 7:30
roseane barr was a guest. she has been following the michael moore road trip and had some great things to say about the crowds she's talked with. i've heard him say in the past week or so that people are emailing him saying to cool it with the political talk. i wanted to email and tell him that's the only reason i started listening!

i didn't hear him say people were pissed today, but i've heard him say it in the past so i would think that it's possible.

he sounds like a very intelligent guy when he is on a good topic. i turned it off when he started interviewing a hooker who was giving away free 'wares' to anyone who voted kerry. jeez.

4. There were a few - who cares what they think?
It's been a decent show - Ron Reagan was on too, he was fabulous as always.

5. I always thought Stern had promise
In the early 80s he was very much anti-establishment. Somewhere along the way he forgot the old dictum: Afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted. I would guess that money and fame is the root of that, as usual.

7. Nah,Clinton dissed him by never helping with his free speech probs,
even tho Stern so strongly backed Clinton both times. Then 9/11 came, right there in NYC, so like many people, he backed shrub. Then his free speech came under attack again, and * proved himself an idiot, so Stern is back in the saddle!

And every call he took, every comment he made was about how people need to vote for Kerry. He spoke to an ex-republican who's now running as a democrat in NY for a congressional seat (didn't get his name, sorry). He switched parties because he visited Iraq and saw what a disaster it was. It was a great show.

I didn't hear yesterday's show, but I heard it was great as well. He took a call from Michael Moore and talked a lot about Fahrenheit for those who hadn't seen it.
